The age-old question in fitness is “How do I get abs?”
I am not a professional in ab-getting, so this is my advice purely from my experience. I did not have visible abs until I consistently did these 4 things:
1️⃣ Lift weights and build muscle all over. You can’t spot train and only build ab muscles. Many weightlifting moves require your core to be engaged. Cardio alone will not give you abs.
2️⃣ Go beyond crunches and do core stabilizing exercises and a variety of ab moves that work your entire core.
3️⃣ Add in a day of HIIT/cardio to burn fat. You can’t see those abs with a layer of fat over them. Again, cardio alone won’t give you abs, but should be done in combination with weightlifting.
4️⃣ Eat a balanced diet with minimal processed foods. Do whatever “diet” that you can sustain and continue as a lifestyle. This is an important piece of the puzzle that many people are missing! Abs really are “made in the kitchen”. If you are doing the above 3, but eating junk food, frozen meals, fast food, fried food, etc… you simply can’t out-train that kind of diet.
